    Identity Theft is currently the fastest growing, white collar crime in the country, and the automotive industry has more risk than ever before.  From employees to customers, there is a major need to educate on all levels and protect sensitive data. In this presentation, participants will learn about the major types of identity theft, as well as how to be more prepared to protect non-public information (NPI).

    This course will cover the 5 major types of identity theft, as well as educate participants on what type of information should be protected.  In addition, participants will learn not only what needs to be done, but also how to do it.

    At the conclusion of this course, participants will:

    • Have a better understanding of what identity theft is, and how it affects the automotive industry.
    • Have a clearer picture of what to expect if their organization is a victim.
    • Understand how to more fully educate employees on protecting and safeguarding non-public information (NPI).
    • Learn how to implement a written policy on protecting sensitive data.
