HR Business Parnter / Sr. HR Business Partner

    Boardwalk Pipeline Partners is looking for an HR Business Partner/Sr. HR Business Partner for our Baton Rouge, LA office.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to client groups in operations and will implement effective HR practices and/or systems that align with business objectives. 

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    *Serve as a consultant to management on HR related issues such as talent and performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, labor relations, training objectives, and compensation

    *Provide day-to-day guidance to front line managers and other employees which may include coaching, counseling, career development, policy interpretation, general guidance and questions

    *Manage complex employee relations issues and conduct effective investigations as necessary

    *Provide project management to department and/or customers in a variety of programs related to organizational effectiveness

    *Maintain in depth current knowledge of federal and state regulations to ensure compliance

    *Additional HR related duties such as conducting exit interviews, data gathering and reporting, recruiting and interviewing, assisting in the process of payroll and/or HRIS changes and updates

    *Travel as required throughout BWP organization

    *Support and guidance in succession planning for assigned areas

    REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

    *2-5 years HR Generalist experience

    *Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines

    *Strong consulting and coaching skills

    *Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

    *Ability to manage multiple priorities

    *Self-directed and motivated

    *Ability to interface with all levels of the organization

    *Proven business acumen

    *Project management capabilities

    *Ability to travel 20% of the time

    *Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

    PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

    *Experience in the oil and gas liquids and transmission industry

    *SPHR or PHR

    *Previous labor relations experience
