There’s power in going social for all of us whether that be in our roles as consumers, citizens, employees or business/HR professionals.  We know that our organizations, governments and news venues are using social to engage in relationships with customers and the public and it is at this intersection where the twoway relationships of social provide value.  It’s long overdue for HR professionals to understand the basics of social engagement and how the tools and technologies can be used to build meaningful relationships with people including our candidates, employees and each other!

Since there are so many tools available, it can be a challenge to determine which ones to use so this session will focus on how today’s HR professionals are incorporating social media into the HR role.  This hands-on session will cover the basic functionality of several of the most popular channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+ and Facebook.

    • The use of social media tools including how, why and for what purpose
    • Determining which channels will work best for you as an HR professional and your organization
    • Basic understanding of the terminology of social including Twitter 101!
    • Overview of tools to use as a professional and within your organization!

The incorporation of social media provides opportunities for HR leaders to further organizational goals and strategies and attendees at this session will leave with ideas on how to innovate and lead initiatives within their HR Department and their organization in order to continue to propel themselves and the HR profession forward.

NOTE:  Attendees are encouraged to bring wifi enabled laptop or tablet in order to follow-along during the session!
    HRCI credit pending.
