Melissa Thompson, PhD,  is the Director of Talent Development for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) where she designs and executes recruitment and retention strategies to meet workforce demands. She partners with Baton Rouge Area employers to provide services that complement their human resources practices, including regional tours for candidates and acclimation content on www.brac.org/lifeinbr. Additionally, she provides leadership development programming for young professionals and collaborates with area universities and employers to connect students to internships.

InternBR is an umbrella of services designed by the Baton Rouge Area Chamber to help connect our local college students to internship opportunities. In this presentation, attendees will learn more about best practices for creating or expanding internship opportunities in their organizations.
