    Nominations are being accepted NOW for the 2022 Outstanding HR Professional of the Year award!  This prestigious award will be presented to an individual who deserves to be recognized for extraordinary contributions.  This person perhaps persistently creates innovative strategies, continuously serves as the “go-to” person for guidance and solutions, or demonstrates exceptional leadership, knowledge, and decision-making skills.  Please complete the online nomination information below to provide details of the contributions made by the nominee. Nominations will be accepted until Monday, November 28, 2022.  The recipient will be recognized at the GBR SHRM Holiday Social on December 1, 2022.

    The selection process per the GBR SHRM By laws is:

    "The selection committee will assist the board in reviewing nominations from the chapter by reviewing all nominations and submitting the top two candidates to the board for voting and final approval.  In the event there are less than two nominations, the committee will solicit other nominations along with supporting documentation and forward the top two candidates for review and final approval of the board."

    Eligibility:

    • Sitting members of the GBR SHRM Board of Directors are not eligible to receive this award. 

    • Members of the selection committee are not eligible for the award and may not submit nominations. 

    • Nominees are not required to be GBR SHRM members in order to be eligible.

    Describe the overall contributions the nominee has made to their company/organization such as through implementation of best practices, organization design and effectiveness, and alignment with their organization/company's strategic directions. Describe any innovative HR programs of practices that the nominee has implemented or developed and describe the significance of their contributions.

    Describe significant contributions that the nominee has made to the HR community and to the overall Human Resource profession.
    Professional and Community Leadership Achievements

    Describe the contributions that the nominee has made to the HR profession such as contributing their expertise or services to professional or community organizations such as SHRM, SHRM affiliate chapters, community professional organizations or community endeavors. Please highlight one or two particular contributions.

    Describe any volunteer leadership roles the nominee has performed in the community (local, regional, national, or international) in scope. This section could include active participation in business, civic and/or charitable organizations, and may reflect the dedication of personal time, personal resources or personal expertise in helping to better the community at any level.
