    About the Job:
    The primary responsibilities for the HR Generalist will be to administer daily HR functions - including benefits, payroll, compliance (federal, state, local) and recruiting as a member of our 5 star talent acquisition, development, and management team.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    ·         Learn how to use our in-house HR information system (.Net)

    ·         Job postings, screen resumes and check references

    ·         Administer pre-employment checks (Profiles, criminal background, drug screening, driving records)

    ·         Process onboarding paperwork

    ·         Benefit administration and serve as liaison between insurance carriers and employees when needed

    ·         Collect and enter payroll data, produce payroll register

    ·         Research and respond to employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and company policy

    ·         Review employee complaints and ensure accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues.

    ·         Advise supervisors on employee issues

    ·         Collect safety / accident information

    ·         Assist with Job Analysis and Performance Appraisal process

    ·         Prepare reports

    ·         Administer and promote AWC Wellness program

    ·         Participate in the AWC Employee Benefits Team

    ·         Perform various HR related tasks as needed

    Required Qualifications:

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, social sciences, or a related field

    ·         3 - 5 years’ experience in HR administration

    ·         Positive attitude, team player

    ·         Ability to multi-task and prioritize

    ·         Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Excel and Microsoft Office Word

    ·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

    ·         Self-confidence with the ability to manage conflict

    ·         Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations

    Desired Qualifications:

    ·        PHR or SHRM-CP

    ·        Payroll experience
