Sr. Compensation Analyst
POSITION PURPOSE: Under the direction of the HR Director, provides consultative technical expertise, advice and guidance regarding compensation to leaders, compensation analysts, recruiters and other business partners. Recommends solutions to management that drive the corporate compensation philosophy and support industry best practices. Directs the work of other compensation staff. NATURE AND SCOPE: Position Location: This position reports to the Manager, Compensation Programs.

Activities of Direct Reports: This position has no reports but may oversee/direct the work of compensation analysts.

Necessary Contacts: In order to effectively fulfill this position the incumbent must be in contact with all levels of personnel throughout the company including executives and the Board of Directors and external compensation/system consultants.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensures integrity of the Company’s salary administration program by using appropriate compensation practices and excellent quality driven methods to produce reports, research, salary projections, complex calculations, etc. to ensure job analysis, salaries and ranges are internally equitable and externally competitive.
Provides project planning, analysis, direction, communication and ongoing support for the annual review process, including the projection and administration of market based range adjustments, merit increases and annual incentive payments. Develops forms, spreadsheets and procedures used to process merit and incentive payments for all levels within the company.
Provides technical expertise and guidance to compensation analysts; oversees and audits their work.
Processes and maintains records for changes in rates of pay in the HRMS.
Records and verifies defects, researches a solution and/or assists with the resolution to ensure all defects are resolved or escalated to another level for resolution.
Develops, reviews and/or interprets corporate compensation policies, procedures and practices to ensure legal compliance, internal equity and external competiveness of pay.
Proactively monitors and analyzes trends and issues related to compensation programs within the Company and external market; performs financial analyses and modeling in order to develop recommendations that support business strategies.
Coordinates, organizes and/or administers projects and activities at the direction of HR leadership to ensure departmental and/or divisional goals are met.
Performs basic HRMS maintenance activities including managing table data, updating and/or correcting other employee data as needed to ensure the data integrity and configuration of the system is maintained and that customer needs are met in a timely manner.
Job duties are performed in a normal and clean office environment with normal noise levels.
Work is predominately done while standing or sitting.
The ability to comprehend, document, calculate, visualize, and analyze are required.
